Ms. Kaitlin HahnMusic Teacher
I have loved music my whole life and I’m so happy to bring it to students at St. Matthias. I joined the faculty in 2019. I hold a Bachelor of the Arts degree in music education from UW-Milwaukee and have taught both instrumental and general music. At St. Matthias, I teach music class for K4 through 8th grade. I also direct the junior choir and the spring musical.
I am happy to work at a school where I can combine my faith and music. I like to bring a sense of wonder to education and not just to instil knowledge, but to help students enjoy the journey in gaining it. I like to collaborate with my colleagues and help students relate music to math, reading, writing, science, history, social studies, religion, and art. The students explore music of many cultures and nations through singing, playing instruments, art, composing, and movement. My goal is to give students a well rounded experience in music class.
Outside of school, I play fiddle in the Celtic band, Atlantic Wave. I also teach private violin, viola, and piano lessons.
